Our First Team are in a nice bit of form going into the business end of the season. Manager Gary Pearson, along with Assistant Chris McCabe have built a strong and unified team over the past three seesons, strengthened with quality if needed. Things are definatly heading in the right directing on the pitch amd Gaz is able to pool from a debth of talent.
A growing youth focus is also develoing at the club. We are seeing some exciting young prospects coming through at Under 17 level.
Yesterday, our First Team welcomed under 17 prospects Ben Wardle and Benji Simpson to their training session, allowing them a taste of what First Team Football is like.
Wardel is a “go get em” midfielder, with a keen eye for goal. Simpson plays in defence and has a good vision of the game.
Both did not look out of place as all players were put through their paces and hope to become future perminant fixture under Gaz in the First Team.
