Repeat of Ryhope Derby in the FA Cup

Just as last season, Ryhope CW have been drawn against local rivals Sunderland RCA in the Extra Perliminary Round of The Emirates FA Cup.

In what was a typical derby game, with with some scrappy moments, some aggression and some moments of quality.

In the end RCA were worthy winners on the day completing a 5-2 victory and both teams finishing with 10 men.

The tie is to take place on Saturday 10 August with the winners set to face either Kendal Town or Hemsworth on Saturday 24 August.

Ryhope CW have a facinating history in the FC Cup, reaching the first round proper in 1967 only to be defeated by League 4 side Workington.

The two Ryhope Clubs meet again at Synderland LGV Park four days later in a league fixture.

CW also drawn against RCA in the new format of the Mitre Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup. They are due to play on the 11 September.
